DIGGADGY was founded in 2002 by two brothers – Konstantin
and Paul Lubavin from small russian town Lipetsk. Their name, DIGGADGY, comes from the eight mythical Indian elephants that guard the world from demons.Their music is the organic synthesis of electronica and ethnic Indian music. This inspiration is largely due to the Beatles’
George Harrison. DIGGADGY practices various styles including bigbeat,
jungle, dub, lounge, ambient, techno music, etc. They utilize native
Indian instruments such as sitar, tabla, sarod, and bansuri flute with
which they record and perform live. In 2006 DIGGADGY gave a series of
concerts in the beach clubs of Morjim in Goa, India. DIGGADGY
currently tours Russia and Ukraine on a regular basis. DIGGADGY are
resident musicians at the prestigious Moscow club “Shanti”. DIGGADGY
is mentioned in the Russian bestseller “Goa Syndrome” (2007 Suhochev).
